A Ladies’ team has been playing cricket
from the mid 1970’s beginning with an annual cup game against
neighbouring village Nash. In the late 80’s the team became a founder
member of the Milton Keynes & District Ladies League, finishing
runners-up in both the league and cup competitions on a number of
occasions. The Club has been hosting an invitation Six-a-Side
competition from the mid- 80’s through to the present time. This is an
important event in the calendar for ladies’ cricket in the area with
teams coming from distances of 30 – 40 miles away to take part. We have
had, in the past, touring teams from Yorkshire coming to take part. In
recent times, our own Ladies team won the trophy in 2002.
Today the Club’s Ladies team play
friendly matches on Sunday mornings throughout the summer and is always
looking to increase its playing strength through recruitment of new
players. If you feel you would like to give it a go and live in the
village or surrounding areas, please contact Stacey Ridgway whose
contact details are shown on the Contacts page of the website.
